Residents can recycle the following:
- Newspapers: The entire newspaper including inserts.
- Aluminum, steel, and bimetal: Food and beverage cans only.
- Glass: Food and beverage containers only.
- Plastic: Food and beverage containers marked with a #1 or #2 on them.
- Plastic: Detergent and soap containers marked with a #1 or #2 on them.
- Misc paper: Magazines, phone books, junk mail, paper board IE cereal boxes.
Do not recycle:
- Containers with excessive foods or liquids still in the container.
- Containers that contained hazardous materials such as oil or anti-freeze.
- Styrofoam, aluminum foil, pie tins, Etc…
- Light bulbs, ceramics, china, Etc…
- Plastic wrap, plastic bags, flower pots, Etc…
- Plastics marked 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7
- Scrap metal, batteries, Etc…
- No needles or sharps.
Commercial businesses can recycle cardboard at a cost of $18 per pickup load.
- A load is considered to be the wall height of the bed itself.
- Vouchers must be purchased in increments of $20 (minimum purchase is $60)
- Voucher can only be paid for by check.
- Loads will not be accepted without a voucher.
